Ammanford town silver band gave shoppers a musical treat when they played non-stop for four hours on Saturday, July 5.
The band was raising money for their trip to the National finals of the Brass Band Championships in September.
The musical troop was given a helping hand by the town's junior band.
A total of £400 was raised on the day.
Adding the band's sponsorship money, the total raised has reached over £600.
One Ammanford shopper said: "I did't realise Ammanfod had a band, this is wonderful. The junior band were amazing, it's so nice that youngsters have something to do these days."
The band now turns its focus on the National Eisteddfod competition and are working hard to prepare a programme for the judges.
