GRANTED: Llandeilo Rotarians have donated £1,000 to Cleddau Ward at West Wales General Hospital in thanks for the care received by one of their members.
Llandeilo Rotary Club has presented a cheque for £1,000 to staff at West Wales General Hospital, Glangwili, in Carmarthen.
The donation – to Cleddau Ward – was made after Rotarian Kevin Sivyer benefiited for the care of staff on the ward.
The club’s initial donation of £850 was boosted when past president Dylwyn Williams added another £150 to make it a round thousand.
Sister Meryl Jones, of Cleddau Ward, said: “We are very grateful for this kind donation and hope to buy a portable echo machine for the ward.
“Kevin spent many months on this ward as a patient and has shown his appreciation over and over again by raising valuable funds.”
