A Tycroes teen has denied assaulting a house-mate who asked him to clean up his vomit after a New Year’s Eve night out.

Kieron Beard, of 104 Forestfach, told Llanelli magistrates he acted in self-defence following an altercation with Marcus Phillips when both were residents of a local authority-run sheltered accommodation unit in Carmarthen on New Year’s Day.

Magistrates were told that Beard had been out the previous evening and had been sick on the floor when he returned home.

When Mr Phillips asked Beard to clear up the mess the following day a row erupted between the pair.

Beard denied assaulting Mr Phillips.

Magistrates adjourned the case until May 9 for trial.
