POLICE say a 27-year-old man has been arrested following an armed robbery which happened at Cwmgors mini market shortly before 10pm last night.

They say the male suspect entered the store and stole a quantity of cash from the till after threatening a member of staff.

The suspect is described as male, white, aged in his 20s, of slim build, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins in height, with facial stubble, wearing a plain black hooded top, faded light blue jeans and white trainers, wearing black gloves. He made off from the scene on foot.

An investigation into the incident is continuing.

It is understood that the man who has been arrested is currently in custody at Neath Police Station.
