Ammanford dementia care unit wins £90,000 grants windfall

HAFAN Gobaith, Ammanford’s ground-breaking dementia care centre, has received a double cash boost.
Manager Dorothy McDonald has revealed that grant applications for £50,000 to the Sobell Foundation and £40,000 from the Wolfson Foundation have both proved successful.
She said the money would go towards expanding facilities at Hafan Gobaith’s twin facility – Hafan Croeso – in Glanaman.
There are also plans for a new day centre at Hafan Gobaith in Ammanford’s Station Road.
