Add a deft dash of daftness for no sense of direction

NEATH Port Talbot council still appears to be in a muddle over its road signs in the Amman Valley.

Having corrected ‘Garnant’ from its previous erroneous spelling, they have a hyphen in ‘Cwmgors.

Local photographer Roger Vince said: “I have looked at a few modern maps and none of them shows Cwmgors with a hyphen, although a couple of sites on the internet show it as the Welsh spelling.

“But by the same token there is an old map showing Rhydyfro as Rhyd-y-fro, so why haven’t they applied that too?

“And, according to the arrows, Garnant and Glanaman have gone up in the world!
