Police probe man’s death after assault

A 69-YEAR-old man understood to have been from Penygroes has died following an assault near the Miners’ Welfare Club in Ammanford.
The assault happened at about9pmon Monday, August 20.
A 35-year-old local man was been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains on police bail.
“Our inquiries into this incident are ongoing,” said DI Gary Phillips.
“If anyone has information on this incident which could help our investigation, please contact us at Ammanford Police Station on 101.”
