Designs underway for new look Arcade Terrace

MOVES to develop the one-time site of the notorious Arcade Terrace are about to begin, members of the Amman Valley Group of Townand Community Councils have learned.
The derelict row of buildings in Cwmaman Road, Garnant, was demolished earlier this year – nowengineering consultants Jacobs have been appointed to draw up detailed designs for an environmental enhancement scheme to develop the site.
According to a report, concept designs have been prepared and consultation with Cwmaman Town Council is ongoing.
The total project cost is £15,000 and detailed designs are expected to be completed in October.
