Llandovery carnival proved a real treat

LLANDOVERY’S combined Diamond Jubilee celebration and town carnival was an unprecedented success, town councillors have been told.

Cllr Elizabeth Thomas said the well-attended event was “a joy to see”.

She added: “It was done so professionally and was such an enjoyable event, which people are still talking about now.

“The carnival was one of the best ever and having it right on Castle Fields was good for traders, residents and visitors –many congratulations should go to everyone involved.”

Cllr Robin Ennion agreed it was “a stunning day” and said the fact the carnival was based at Castle Fields was key.

“I really feel that if the carnival was there every year it would be something that the town would look forward to,”

he added.
