The outcome of the final round of grant funding will not be confirmed until early summer, but it is hoped that thewater feature will be in place by late summer or early autumn.
“Over 180 letters from local schoolchildren were received in support of the grant applications, along with more than 500 signatures from local residents gathered during the consultation exercise,” said town clerk Miriam Phillips.
