BETWS community councillors are looking into the possibility of tapping into grants to enforce safe routes to school.
Community clerk Cerith Griffiths said the Safe Routes In The Communities scheme was a joint initiative between schools and Carmarthenshire county council.
He said the scheme provided grants fromcrossings, traffic-calming measures, cyclepaths and footways.
“What about a pavement for kids coming downfromParc Penrhiw?” asked Cllr Annette Price. “That’s not a safe route to school.”
