Man jailed for sword threats

A LOWER Cwmtwrch man who threatened a woman with a sword was jailed for a month when he appeared before Neath magistrates.
David Ian Jones, aged 40, of 29B Heol Twrch, was said to have used threatening words and behaviour towards Julia Crouch during the incident in Ystalyfera on July 3 last year.
Jones denied committing a public order offence but was found guilty.
