Memorial stone finally on the move after adverse weather

LLANDYBIE community councillors are to press ahead with plans to relocate a memorial stone to the deep mining industry at Saron Square.

Technical officer Brian James told members that a move to re-position the memorial from the nearby hall had been delayed by the horrendous weather.

“Hopefully, workers will soon be back on site to finish the job,” he said, adding that the will be £6,699.90.
