A SWANSEA City councillor is calling for strong action to be taken against fly-tippers north of Graigcefnparc.

In an email to the authority’s fly-tipping clearance team and local bobby Rob Jones, Cllr Ioan Richard said rubbish recently cleared from Mynydd y Gwair Road had now returned with a vengeance.

He said rubbish, including cans, was being dumped from cars.

“It has not had enough time yet to be a lot of rubbish – can it be cleared before it becomes a lot?” he asked.

“Also can the Clydach or Morriston Police – PC Rob Jones’ team preferably – drop onto these morons like a ton of bricks one night and sort them out?”

Cllr Richard also identified other areas of the Mawr ward he said were being targeted by fly tippers.
