THE inquest into the death of an Ammanford motorcyclist killed after being involved in a collision with a police car, is scheduled to be held in Llanelli today (Thursday).
Kevin Adrian Evans, 39, was fatally injured in the crash on Betws Road, Betws, at 11.35pm on October 29.
In an S4C programme shown last week, the dead man’s grieving mother criticised the lack of information surrounding the causes of the accident.
Kathleen Lord, of Capel Hendre, told Y Byd Ar Bedwar that the first she learnt the investigation had been referred back to Dyfed Powys Police was when she read the Guardian.
“I don’t know anything about how my son died. I cannot get on with my life,” she said.
Defending the move to hand the inquiry back to Dyfed Powys, Tom Davies, of the Independent Police Complaints Commission, said they lacked resources to handle every case.
And he insisted Mrs Lord and her family would have been kept notified of all stages of the inquiry.
