VISITORS TO the National Botanic Garden of Wales will be rubbing shoulders with the stars on Saturday.
Astronomy day at the garden will be a real treat for star-gazers as it features a special inflatable planetarium, solar telescopes and air-powered paper rockets.
Organiser Allan Trow, of Glamorgan University, said: “It’s going to be a great day out for all the family and a chance to learn a little about our universe.”
There will be talks and a planetarium show on the hour every hour between 10am and 4pm, the show lasts for about 40 minutes.
Allan, who lectures in the university’s school of physics and astronomy, added: “It will certainly be lots of fun and we are hoping for a big crowd to come along and join in.”
Admission to the garden costs £8 for adults, £6.50 for concession and £4 for children.
A family ticket (two adults and up to four children) is £19.50.
