RESIDENTS of an Ystradgynlais care home are set sail for New York on Wednesday – but only as part of a virtual cruise.
The event has been organised by staff at The Grove Residential Home, offering residents who are unable to go on holiday a chance to take a whirlwind tour of the world, bringing different destinations to life through music, games and food.
Choosing New York as their first stop to help mark American Independence Day, the residents celebrated with an American-themed party.
Home manager Leonie Howells said: “This is a perfect way for us to see the world.”
