FROZEN food giant Iceland is the latest big-name chain to rule out moving to the former Woolworths store in the middle of Ammanford.
Rumours about the possible takeover intensified last week but bosses have now moved to deny any interest.
The former Woolworths store has been empty since the turn of the year and Iceland now joins a growing list of big-name stores to have decided against opening in Ammanford.
Pub giant JD Wetherspoon was among the first to rule out a move and Iceland has now followed suit.
A spokesman for the company said: “Iceland are not due to open a new store in the former Woolworths site in Ammanford.”
