AFC Porth 1 Cwmaman United 1 Macron Welsh League Division 3

CWMAMAN returned from the Rhondda with a valuable point after coming from behind.

Cwm's Graham Bevan made his first start for the visitors this season and showed his hunger to play for Cwmaman with a good performance.

Cwmaman trailed after just five minutes when poor defending allowed Porth's centre-forward to slot home.

The visitors were under pressure for the remainder of the half, and due mainly to illnesses to players who were forced to play, Cwmaman found it hard to create many chances.

The second half was completely different as United went in search of an equaliser, and after 15 minutes a shot by Gareth Morgan crept in at the far post which sent the visitors wild with delight.

Cwm's Tim Hendra had a good chance when his header was well saved by the home keeper but Cwmaman felt it was a point gained and not two points lost.

l Next Week Cwmaman are home to Penrhiwfer (ko 2pm).

Cwmaman United 0 FC Keys 5 Happy Homes Neath & District Division 2

CWMAMAN were disappointed with the result as they coped well for long periods of the game with the home side creating many chances of their own.

Jonathan Morgan worked hard up front with his strike partner Andrew Wolley.

Keys were 2-0 up at the break and things got worse for the home team when Janho "Gabbidon" Williams put through his own net, which left Cwmaman goalkeeper Wayne Neal with no chance.

l Next Week Cwmaman are away to CMB in the League Cup first round.

Cwmaman United 3 Briton Ferry Athletic 1 Macron Welsh League Reserve Division West

CWMAMAN deserved their second victory of the season against fourth-placed Ferry, especially after going 1-0 down in the fifth minute.

Cwm equalised after 25 minutes when a good pass from Andrew Twomey found Ian Waldie just inside the penalty area and the Scot calmly finished off a good move.

It remained level until 20 minutes into the second half when Michal Rybicki scored a classy individual goal.

United were in no mood to let the lead slip and Waldie made the game safe with ten minutes remaining.

This was a deserved three points for the reserves who are improving with every game.

Cwmaman players that impressed were Peter Windsor in midfield along with Neil Blake. After six weeks, Mark Hooper finally made his debut for the club.

l Next Week Cwmaman are away to Maesteg Park (ko 2pm).
