Ammanford AFC U14s 2 Llangennech 6

Llangennech for their last league encounter of the season and were hoping to end their campaign on a winning note.

They started the game brightly and were rewarded with a goal from Josh Benger who capitalised on a half chance to give Ammanford an early lead. However, a much improved Llangennech team were in a confident mood themselves and replied immediately from the restart to cancel out the early advantage.

Llangennech were now starting to gain the upper hand and it came as no surprise that they scored a further two goals before half-time.

The second half was just as disappointing from Ammanford's point of view as they gifted Llangennech three more goals to end their league campaign on a disappointing note. The visitors could have added to their tally when they were awarded a penalty but a fine save from Ammanford keeper Gavin Wrigley denied them a seventh goal.

Thomas Rowlands scored a fine individual consolation goal late on to make the scoreline a bit more respectable.

AMMANFORD gained an impressive victory over Camford with hat-tricks by Dafydd Nicholas and Nathan Pearce, a brace from Lee Rees and an own goal.

The Ammanford midfield dominated the game creating many chances for the two front who were able to take advantage of the possession with individual trebles.

Camford scored a consolation goal in the second half but their forwards were constantly stifled out by Ammanford's central defensive partnership of Adam Thomas and Sion Jones.
