POST office services are set to face another blow under plans proposed by the Government to part privatise the industry, according to local politicians.
Local MP Adam Price and AM Rhodri Glyn Thomas have condemned the plans they believe will have a "detrimental" affect on postal services in the county.
"This is very bad news for the post office industry," said Mr Price. "Services in the county have taken enough of a blow with so many being forced to shut under the Governments closure programme.
"I have signed a parliamentary motion opposing the proposals and will be taking the matter up with the minister to highlight my opposition and the opposition of my constituents and the unions."
Mr Thomas said he was "shocked "at the plans. "We are fully opposed to these plans which will have a negative impact on post office services and are against the principals of the industry," he added.
