A Cenarth primary school has been praised as a 'welcoming community.'

Education body, Estyn, has lauded Ysgol Cenarth following a December 2023 inspection.

The review - published recently - said learners are benefiting from a 'good start' for a 'bright future.' The report detailed pupils' positive attitudes and noticeable sound progress from the start of their learning.

The school was praised for an inclusive, friendly ethos.

Staff cooperation was noted and children were highlighted as polite and respectful.

Ysgol Cenarth headteacher, Lee Burrows, said: "Congratulations and thank you to our pupils who consistently demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and embody the values of Ysgol Cenarth.

"I am also incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff, supportive parents and governing body.

"This achievement is a testament to a collective effort and unwavering focus on excellence.

"We will continue to work collaboratively to build on this success and strive for excellence in all that we do."
