The People's Theatre Company is set to perform 'There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly' at Theatrau Sir Gâr's venues.

The play will grace the stage in the spring, marking the beloved nursery rhyme's 50th anniversary.

In Ammanford, the show will be held at the Glowyr Theatre on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27 at 2.30pm.

It is a piece of media that has been turned into all forms. Starting out as a song for Burl Ives, it was adapted into a book by Pam Adams.

The most recent adaptation is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024 and children's author Steven Lee has brought it to the stage.

Mr Lee said: "The book was a favourite of my children and reading it to them reminded me how much I had loved it when my grandmother had read it to me".

Tickets are available for £12.50, with discounts for concessions and families.
