DOZENS of children delighted Ammanford audiences earlier this month by putting on a special pantomime.

The group of children and young people – aged between three and 17 – are members of Ammanford Youth Theatre and Starquest Children’s Community Theatre and put on their first ever panto at the Ammanford Miners Theatre on January 5, 6 and 7.

The group performed Cinderella with a ‘hilarious’ script according to one attendee. She said: “I honestly can’t believe how good the panto was! Script was hilarious and each child did an amazing job. Well done everyone.”

Another, whose children took part, said: “Our girls loved it and you and the whole Starquest team are a credit to our town. What talented young people Ammanford has, lovely to see them all given the opportunity and encouragement to shine.”
