FOUR people from the Towy and Swansea valleys recently appeared in court for failing to provide police with information – and three of them were banned from driving.

Ella Walters, 24, of Dynevor Avenue, Llandeilo, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 24 and was handed her punishment at the court on December 22.

She committed the offence on June 20 when she failed to provide South Wales Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a SEAT Arona which was believed to have been involved in an earlier offence.

She was given six points on her licence and ordered to pay £660 fine, £528 surcharge and £90 costs.

She also faced a second charge of the same offence on the same date and was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £660 fine and £90 costs.

Richard Craig Price Bunford, 41, of Dinefwr Avenue, Llandeilo, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 29 and was banned from driving by the court on December 28 as punishment.

He committed the offence on June 23 when he failed to provide South Wales Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa which was believed to have been involved in an earlier offence.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £660 fine, £264 surcharge and £90 costs.

Sandra Jane Kvaerneng-Stolp, 57, of Dyffryn Road, Alltwen, Pontardawe, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 28 and was banned from driving by the court on December 28.

She committed the offence on June 22 when she failed to provide South Wales Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a Hyundai Tucson which was believed to have been involved in an earlier offence.

She was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £660 fine, £264 surcharge and £90 costs.

Thomas Andrew Whelan, 49, of Heol Twrch, Cwmtwrch, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Cardiff Magistrates Court on December 28.

He committed the offence on July 3 when he failed to provide South Wales Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a BMW which was believed to have been involved in an earlier speeding offence.

He was given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £660 fine, £264 surcharge and £90 costs.
