FOUR Bangladeshi men look set to be deported after immigration police swooped on an Ammanford kebab shop.
Officers from the UK Border Agency visited Shaan Tandoori on Quay Street after receiving a tip-off about illegal immigrants working at the takeaway.
Three men, all from Bangladesh, were found working behind the counter, and were arrested at the scene.
A fourth Bangladeshi man was arrested from the flat above the shop.
The Agency is now taking steps to remove all the men, aged in their late 20s and early 30s, from the UK as soon as possible.
The owner of Shaan Tandoori, who has not been identified, received a warning over employing illegal workers and may now face future visits by immigration officers as well as prosecution.
Jane Farleigh, Regional Director of the UK Border Agency in Wales, warned other businesses in the area that the raid signalled their intent.
"We are determined to crack down on illegal immigration wherever we find it and this successful operation in Ammanford shows that we are achieving results.
"There are legal routes through which people can live and work in the UK and we have made it clear that we will not tolerate those who choose to come here illegally.
"Not only do illegal jobs provide a pull factor for illegal migrants, but they can lead to major abuses of the immigrants themselves and see genuine businesses being undercut by rule-breaking employers."
