MP Adam Price MP has called on the Home Secretary to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the resignation of former Dyfed Powys Chief Inspector Terrance Grange.
In a letter to Jacqui Smith, the Plaid MP for Carmarthen East says he is "astonished" that Home Office guidance for cases of alleged misconduct by serving officers has seemingly been ignored.
"I feel that it is vital, in order to restore public confidence, that a home office investigation is conducted into why the police authority accepted the early retirement of Terrance Grange," said Mr Price.
