SUPER Fun Saturday is returning to Ammanford Cricket Club this weekend along with new fun features for all the family.

In addition to all the fun and games taking place - centred around the cricket club and Ammanford’s league meeting with Pontarddulais – there will also be a BBQ, hog roast and entertainment for all ages including a bouncy castle and much more at Ammanford Cricket Club this Saturday, July 28.

Since 2015, SFS have raised over £30,000 which has been used to purchase vital lifesaving equipment and has been shared across several local charities and this year’s event is set to raise an additional £8,000.

This year’s chosen charities are Grand Appeal children’s charity, Born on the Edge, Ammanford junior sports clubs fund, Alzheimer’s Society Cymru, Maggie’s Cancer Support and Swn Y Gwynt counselling service.

The fourth SFS event will also see the return of the popular cycle ride.

Last year’s cycle event was extremely popular so this year there are three distances to choose from on the morning’s cycle ride.

As well as the usual 25 and 35-mile cycle ride there is the option to do a longer distance of 65 miles for those up for a greater challenge.

The 25 mile cycle ride takes off from Ammanford Cricket Club to Cwmtwrch and back. The 35-mile route will be going to Pontardawe and back to the cricket club.

The cycle ride registration will take place from 8.45am with cyclists taking off at 9am for 65-mile cycle and 10am for the shorter rides.

All cyclists are welcome to participate, so why not get some friends together and cycle as part of a group or as a family.

Sponsor forms are available from SFS HQ, visiting surveymonkey.co.uk/r/XNDHBLJ or via Ryan Jones at ryan@sfs.wales.

The entry cost is £20 which can be raised via the sponsor forms and all who raise over £75 will receive a free event cycling top, which are also available to buy for £30 on the day.

The cricket match between Ammanford and Pontarddulais will begin at 1.30pm followed a hog roast, BBQ and family entertainment from 1pm.
