A man killed in a collision in Llandeilo has been named.
Gordon Griffiths, aged 75, from Llandeilo, passed away at the scene following a one vehicle collision on the A40 between Llandeilo and The Cottage Inn at around 4.25pm on Saturday afternoon.
A woman was taken to hospital with injuries that are not deemed to be life threatening.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Any witnesses are asked to contact Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit by calling 101, quoting reference number 267 of July 7.
"The family ask their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."
A tribute has been paid by County Councillor Edward Thomas.
He said: "Trap and the surrounding area are saddened to hear of the sudden death of Gordon Griffiths Tirgoitre.
"Gordon worked hard for his community, involved in many of the organisations and a faithful member of Cor Dinefwr.
"Our thoughts go out to his wife and family.
I found Gordon very approachable, kind hearted and a real community minded person.
"Only last week he was singing with the choir at Cae William."
