An Ammanford-based theatre group which are known for bringing world premieres to their hometown are set to take to the stage with a brand-new production once again next week.

Following the success of their last hit comedy, Last Tango in Ammanford, and their two sell out pantomimes, Ammanford Community Theatre are back with their latest hilarious comedy Ammanford Angels.

Ammanford Angels is written by Saron based local playwright Dave Jenkins who is also directing the production.

When Bronwyn Jones passes away, her whole family are understandably upset and quickly gather together to pay their respects and hear the reading of her will. But Bronwyn has unfinished business on Earth, she wants to know what actually caused her demise and was anyone to blame? So, Bronwyn returns to annoy her family as an interfering Angel.

Director Dave Jenkins, from Saron, told the Guardian: “In this frenetic, fast paced, world premiere comedy, we see an argumentative family hilariously struggle to cope and also hope that they won’t become the next Ammanford Angel.”

""The show has never been performed before and we are looking forward to premiering our latest production at the Miners' Theatre.”

Ammanford Community Theatre’s first ever production was the sell-out pantomime Cinderella in 2016 which attracted over 600 people to the Miners’ Theatre.

The groups second production was the world premiere of Last Tango in Ammanford, which received rave reviews from visitors last year.

Ammanford Angels takes to the stage at the Miners’ Theatre from Thursday, June 7 until Saturday, June 9 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available now through the Theatrau Sir Gar on by calling 08452263510, visiting theatrausirgar.co.uk or alternatively they can be purchased from Ammanford Library.
