FFIT Cymru contestant Nic Davies has set himself an ambitions weight-loss target as he prepares for the show’s end.

The dedicated Glangwili Hospital worker is aiming to lose 6lbs in the two weeks leading up to the show’s final episode on June 5.

So how does he feel with about his journey now the end is in sight?

“This week has been so great for me. I beat my weight loss target of 3lbs again and actually lost 4.5lbs.

“We keep being told by the experts that there will be a week where we might plateau or have a week where we don’t lose anything, but that hasn’t happened to me yet. So I’m determined not to let it happen after this ends.

“We all took part in the 5k park run in Neath last weekend too, and I completed it in 33 minutes which I was massively chuffed with. I’ve gone from being someone who couldn’t run for one minute to running 5k In just six weeks! That’s incredible and I’m really really happy.

“This has been life changing in every way.

“I’ve determined to do a 5k every week now and I’ll be signing up for the park runs every weekend to keep myself fit.

“Now I know what to do and how to keep the weight of I’m not going back.

“It has been really positive for my family too, My wife took part in the park run and completed it so I was really proud of her too. My family have been such a huge support I honestly couldn’t have done this without them.

“This week we were allowed to decide what our weight loss targets will be ahead of the final weigh in. As we now have a two-week break before the next weigh in, I am aiming for 6lbs. I just really want to go for it and give it my all before the end of the show.

"I’m feeling re ally positive – after all I never thought I’d lose this much at this stage. So anything beyond this is a bonus.”
