A GAME of Thrones actor will be heading to Ammanford as he stars in a new film raising money for charities.

Ross O’Hennesy, who played the Lord of Bones, also known as Rattleshirt, in the hit series and will be part of the crew filming in Ammanford in the coming months.

The actor is starring in the film V-vs-V, a project that is raising money for Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s UK and Fibromyalgia Action UK.

The film is the brainchild of director, Kat Clatworthy, and is dedicated to the memory of her father, who passed away following a fight against CV Dementia and cancer in 2015.

Her production company, Eagles Eleven Productions, are making the picture.

She said: “The idea is to make a film in his memory and to make some money and awareness for the charities that supported him.

“Half of the money made from the film will be split between the three charities, and the other half will be used for future projects that can continue to help charities and provide opportunities and apprenticeships for people who want to do what they love.

“We are all from Wales so know the area well and wanted to film it locally. All of the filming is being done in Ammanford, Swansea and the surrounding areas.”

The death of Kat’s father is what inspired her to start the company.

She explained: “In 2015, my father was diagnosed with CV Dementia and Cancer.

“My father was a man who volunteered all of his free time to the medical/ambulance services, saving and changing many lives in his years.

“He passed away in November 2015 and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in January 2016.

“I decided to follow my father's influence and try to do good out of tragedy.

“Putting in my own funds and raising a small amount of extra funding towards, I managed to put together a small productions team, and so the journey began.”
