A MAN has been left in a critical condition following a Rhosamman crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision which happened shortly before 3.25am on Sunday on the A4068 at Gwilym Road.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, failing to report a collision, possession of an offensive weapon, and driving without insurance.

He has been release under investigation.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "A man is in hospital and is in a critical condition as a result of the collision.

"The car, a blue Vauxhall Tigra, is believed to have left the Cefnbrynbrain area shortly before the collision.

"Anyone with information that could help officers with their enquires is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit by calling 101, quoting reference 68 of April 8.

"Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111, or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org."
