An Amman Valley family has helped boost the stoke and rehabilitation ward at Prince Phillip Hospital in Llanelli.

Mrs Elaine Flint suffered a stroke in December 2017 and was admitted to Prince Phillip Hospital where she has been cared for over the past four months by the staff at ward 9.

Mrs Flint’s daughter, Gaynor Davies, took part in the Cardiff Bay 10k on March 25 and with the help of her brother and sister, Andrew and Karen Flit, she raised £962 in sponsorship.

“Thank you to all the staff on ward 9 for the amazing care given to our mother over the past few months,” said Gaynor.

“Every member of the team has gone above and beyond to help us all as a family and we’re extremely grateful that our mother has been so well looked after.”

A spokesperson for Hywel Dda Health Charities said: “Thank you for your support. We wish Mrs Flint well with her recovery.”
