ARMED police were called to Cross Hands over the weekend.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were called after reports of a distressed man with a weapon.
The call was made shortly after midday on Saturday.
A spokesman for the police said: “There were serious concerns for the safety of all at the scene, and officers attended supported by firearms officers as a precaution."
Roger Samuel, 26, was charged with threats to kill and two threats to commit criminal damage.
He appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court this morning, and will appear at Crown Court on April 20 for a plea hearing.
