Over the last four weeks, the South Wales Guardian has been asking for readers to send in pictures of their pets dressed up for our Festive Pets competition.

From horses pictured with tinsel, cats posing in a tree and dogs wearing antlers - we really have seen it all in The Guardian office.

After receiving a record number of entrants, and days of serious deliberation, this year we have decided that nine-month-old cocker spaniel Saffi is our winner.

Saffi’s owner Tayla Wheeler, from Betws, said: “I’d just like to say thank you to The Guardian for choosing Saffi as their winner.
“She melts everybody’s hearts that she meets."
