FRAUDSTERS have been targeting properties in north Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, police have warned.
Fake door-to-door fundraisers have been visiting households, claiming to be from Cardiff University.
The University has confirmed it does not authorise door-to-door fundraising.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police urged people, especially elderly and vulnerable residents, to be wary of anyone who knocks on their door asking for money.
Anyone with information that can help us identify fraudsters can report it by calling 101. If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908.
For further advice, or if you have been a victim of fraud, attempted fraud or cyber crime contact Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk.
