A Llandeilo man faces a long prison sentence after he was found guilty today of a string of sex offences against a girl aged under 13.
Darren Michael Barton, 28, sobbed as a jury at Swansea crown court returned seven verdicts of guilty.
Barton, of Taliaris, was cleared of two charges of rape but convicted of multiple offences of indecent assault.
He had denied all the charges against him.
There were gasps from his relatives and supporters in the public gallery as the verdicts were announced.
Judge Geraint Walters said he would sentence Barton after a probation officer had prepared a report into his background.
He said a jail sentence would follow and it would not be in Barton's interests for him to extend bail.
Barton was remanded in custody until a sentencing hearing early next month.
