On Saturday, Pembrokeshire County Motoring Events staged their final event of the year - the South Pembrokeshire Coastal Run, run in conjunction with the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre.

Despite the unpredictable weather, the day remained dry and the event was a wonderful success for both the county and the heritage centre.

Around 130 cars, light commercials and motorbikes assembled, spanning the early days of motoring right up to head-turning examples from the 21st century.

Organisers Jeff and Sian Edwards were on hand to greet each of the arrivals with a warm Pembrokeshire welcome along with the centre’s Stuart Berry and staff. Special guests on the day were Cllr Jane McNaughton, mayor of Pembroke Dock, and Cllr Paul Harries the Chairman of the Pembrokeshire County Council.

The grand parade set off on the 40-mile motoring tour, led by Jeff and Sian in their Rover 216 Cabriolet.

The journey made its way via Pembroke Dock, Pembroke, Lamphey, Freshwater East, Stackpole, Castlemartin, Freshwater West and Angle before making a well-earned pit-stop at West Angle Bay, where the staff of the Wavecrest Café were on hand to meet the drivers’ needs.

The parade then made its way back to the heritage centre via Angle, Maidenwells and Pembroke.

Jeff and Sian would to thank everyone, including the dedicated staff of the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, for their dedication and support.

They would also like to thank everyone for making this and the organisations other events of the year a wonderful success.

Pembrokeshire County Motoring Events 2018 season will commence in April.
