A HAMPSHIRE supermarket has been temporarily closed after reports of a potential gas leak.
Emergency services rushed to the Tesco store on Clement Attlee Way in Portsmouth after the methane alarm went off.
The incident happened this morning at around 7am.
Firefighters from Winchester, Cosham and Portchester are currently at the scene.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed that no-one was injured and emergency services are still investigating at the scene but not evidence of methane has been found at the moment.
The store and the nearby car park are temporarily closed but there isn’t any road closure in place.
