A MAN was taken to hospital after an "unattended camp fire" in Cwmbran.
Ambulance and fire services attended the incident near a roundabout in Greenforge Way, Cwmbran, at around 10.20pm last night, Friday.
Sam Griffiths was travelling back to Newport when she saw the man rolling around in the road.
"He was rolling around shouting in pain," she said.
"All his shoes and socks were melted to his feet.
"We managed to get him off the road until the emergency services came."
A spokeswoman for Welsh Ambulance said a man in his 30s was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital with burns.
South Wales fire service said two crews attended at 10.20pm.
A spokeswoman said a man suffered minor burns to his foot caused by an "unattended camp fire."
She said there was no suggestion the fire was deliberate.
