Calling all Carmarthenshire residents your NHS services need to change and now is the time to make your voices heard.

Hywel Dda Health Board is encouraging individuals to enter the discussion about how they can change and improve health services in this area, so that they are fit for the next generation and future population needs.

That’s why the organisation would like residents to come to their last public engagement session in Llanelli around Transforming Clinical Services at Selwyn Samuel Centre in Llanelli on Monday, September 11.

So far this summer organisers have heard the expected, the unexpected and some surprising suggestions from members of the public, staff, partner and third sector organisations – but they want as many people as possible to get involved before the TCS engagement period ends on September 15.

Dr Philip Kloer, Medical Director and Director of Clinical Strategy at Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has responded to our survey, or who has attended a TCS event so far; part of the feedback we’ve received from people is that they wanted us to hold another public drop-in session in each county before the engagement period closes.

“So I’d like to formally invite any Carmarthenshire residents who haven’t yet shared their thoughts to come to Selwyn Samuel Centre and make their voices heard. Now is the time for people to speak up and share their ideas and experiences to help make the NHS in mid and west Wales the best it can be.”

The event, which will be held from 2pm until 7pm, is open to everyone so there’s no need to book in advance.

Anyone who would like to talk to us about our Transforming Mental Health Services (TMHS) Consultation is also welcome to attend as there will be a representative from the service there.
