A TOWY Valley man has been banned from the road after he admitted driving while being over the drink-drive limit.
Dylan Huw Thomas, of Cilywern, New Inn, was caught driving a Mercedes near the Angel Inn, Salem, on June 25 with 47 micrograms of alcohol in his breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Thomas pleaded guilty at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (July 20).
Magistrates banned Thomas from driving for 12 months.
The 58-year-old was also fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
