Llanelli Magistrates' Court
A 71-year-old Ffairfach man has appeared in court charged with the rape of a schoolgirl in the 1980s.
David Thomas, of Towy Terrace, was charged with the rape of a girl aged under 16 in Llannefydd, North Wales, between October 23, 1981, and October 22, 1982.
Thomas entered no formal plea when he appeared at Llanelli magistrates court.
Magistrates sent the case to crown court and Thomas will go before a judge for a plea and case management hearing at Swansea on August 21.
