Pupils of an Amman Valley primary school have bid farewell to their retiring headmistress by hosting a concert.
Mrs Donna Williams has been headmistress at Ysgol y Bedol since the school opened in 2005 ad wa sa former headteacher of various primary schools across Carmarthenshire including Glanaman and Garnant.
Throughout the concert pupils performed a variety of songs and recited their favourite memories about the headmistress.
Members of the school's governing body also paid tribute to the hard-working headteacher, who was described as "one of the best in Carmarthenshire".
School Governor Kevin Madge said: “The pupils will be looking back to their time at Ysgol y Bedol and will remember Mrs Williams for giving them the best start to life.
“Local members were under pressure when the three schools closed to open Ysgol y Bedol but Donna helped us get through it with all her hard work.”
Pupils presented Mrs Williams with plenty of gifts and two cakes.
