A man has been jailed following a burglary in Lower Tumble after getting caught selling the items on Facebook.

Dyfed-Powys Police received a report that a garage and vehicle has been broken into at 10am on Monday, June 26.

Marc Morrison, of Bethesda Road, Tumble, was identified as selling items on Facebook which the victim could confirm were stolen.

The 29-year-old was charged with burglary on Wednesday, June 28 and sentenced at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 29.

Morrison entered a guilty plea at court, and was sentenced to an immediate term of imprisonment.

He was sentenced to 115 days for burglary and 42 days for a breach of his post sentence requirement and non-payment of fines.

Dyfed-Powys Police Detective Inspector Neil Jenkins said: “A priority for Dyfed-Powys is keeping our communities safe and supporting victims.

“This case shows our commitment to identify people responsible for burglaries at peoples’ homes and we are very pleased with the sentence passed at court.

“This perpetrator was apprehended, charged and jailed within three days of the offence being committed, and we hope that sends out a strong message about how seriously we take this type of crime.”
