PARTY on the Pitch is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a festival bigger than ever before.

The all-day family festival at Tycroes RFC will feature eight acts this year, including 1960’s chart toppers Animals and Friends.

The ‘House of the Rising Sun’ chart toppers will be performing as part of the 10 hours of live music in the festival, after arriving back in the UK from their sell-out Australia and New Zealand tour.

They will be joined by seven other acts and bands including; Party on the Pitch favourites Peepshow, soul band Gimme Some Lovin, Duo Dusty Road, Karl Lewis as Almost Olly, Kill the Lights and Genetically Modified.

The festival organiser, Chris Nicholas, said: “Once again we have been overwhelmed by bands and acts who would like to play the popular festival which is a great testament to the event.

“The idea of Party on the Pitch is to enable a fantastic, affordable day out whilst listening to some great live music - our aim is to make the day a memorable one so people keep coming back year after year.

“We hope to see many old and new fans join the party this summer.”

As well as the live music, there will be a large bar, all-weather arena, inflatable slides, bouncy castles, facepainting, food stalls and a chance for children to meet Paw Patrol’s Chase and Marshall .

This year, Party on the Pitch has chosen RYAN4LEUKAEMIA as their official charity partner.

Chris said: “RYAN4LEUKAEMIA was set up in 2007 by the late Ryan Davies, a former Acute Myeloid Leukaemia patient.

“This amazing local charity is dedicated to raising funds for cancer patients and facilities.

“We can’t think of a worthier cause. Please dig deep to help RYAN4LEUKAEMIA surpass their £50,000 landmark”

This year Party on the Pitch will be held on Saturday, June 17 from 12.30pm and tickets for the festival are priced at £10 for adults, £7 for children aged 11-16 and entry is free for under-10s.
