GLOUCESTERSHIRE head coach Richard Dawson admits there is a chance his side could be defeated on Sunday at Trent Bridge.
Nottinghamshire have taken a firm grip on the Specsavers County Championship Division Two clash, declaring on 430 for nine on Saturday and then skittling Gloucestershire out for just 149 in just 44.1 overs
Nottinghamshire enforced the follow-on and reduced Gloucestershire to 37 for one in their second innings, still 244 runs behind.
Dawson said: “It’s clear what we’ve got to do, we’ve got to fight hard against a very good bowling attack.
“Looking at it again, there were some very good balls bowled with some of those dismissals.
“We’ve got to try and get this into a fourth day because that would mean we’ve batted for a full day against some very good bowlers.”
