A young fundraiser from the Swansea Valley is taking to the hot seat to raise money for a children’s charity.

Jodie Riddell, from Pontardawe, is donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust and is hoping to raise funds along the way.

The 10-year-old has, who been growing her locks since July last year, decided to sign up for the good deed after a family member was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Jodie will be donating at least 12 inches of her hair to the charity after having her hair cut at her grandparents’ home in Garnant by mobile hairdresser Ceri Williams this Friday, April 7.

Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.

The charity has given away nearly 5,000 free wigs.
