A talented Llandeilo performer is asking everyone from across the country to get behind her so she can prove she has got what it takes to become a star.

Erin Lewis, 15, is currently taking part in CBBC Got What It Takes and is now relying on votes from the public to get her through to the grand final.

The singer is battling it out with seven other teenagers to win the prize of performing at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Hull this May.

For the last seven weeks, Erin and her mum Julia, landlady of The White Heart Inn, have been battling it out with the other competitors in a series of different challenges.

Along the way the teenager has met Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw, The Vamps and has worked alongside Britain’s Got Talent finalist Calum Scott.

On this Tuesday’s episode, Erin will be singing for her place in the final and the public vote will open at the end of the programme at 6pm.

Viewers will then have 24 hours to vote for their favourite performer.

Erin has taken to her Facebook page to get people voting.

She wrote: “Thanks so much for your support, messages and comments so far we have had such a good time and really would love to be able to get to the final.

“Could you all please get behind me and my mum.”

To be able to vote, log onto bbc.co.uk/cbbc and insert an email address when the voting line opens.
